Volunteer With
Time to Spare???….Why not volunteer or intern with GVS…Using their skills and experience to benefit the young people we work with has proved a worthwhile and enriching experience for all our volunteers and interns. From students volunteering one day a week to those devoting an entire summer…. from the recently retired and housewives with a few hours to spare, to those working full time, our volunteers do everything from web-development, research, fundraising , photography, documentary film-making, community mobilisation, content development…. and more! Volunteering can be for a fixed time or ongoing and time commitments vary from one morning a week to a full time fixed term assignment for students. Many volunteers come to us by word of mouth or through our website or social networking sites but we also work with volunteering organisations such as ivolunteer) and JaagoRe, partner B-Schools such as IIM Rohtak and also work with international student organisation AIESEC. Volunteers also come to GVS by way of corporate volunteering such as Accenture’s Skills to Succeed.
Not only can volunteering and interning be a fulfilling experience, but it can also be a way of developing new skills. All volunteers and interns must be able to work from one of our centres in Delhi. No stipend is provided but out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.
We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in devoting their time and talent to us. Please Call Abhilash Ram on 0091-9473914851 or e-mail- gvs.ckt@gmail.com A list of our current volunteering and intern opportunities is below:
